100% Local Processing
All testing and data processing happens locally on your device.
- No data is uploaded to external servers
- No analytics or tracking software
- No third-party services
- No account creation required
- No internet connection needed after initial load
Data Storage
Your test results and calibration data are stored in your browser's local storage. This means:
- Data remains on your device only
- You can clear data anytime through browser settings
- Data is not synced across devices
- Data may be lost if you clear browser cache
Camera Access
The app requests camera access only for:
- Distance calibration using facial landmark detection
- Optional real-time distance monitoring during tests
Camera permissions are optional. You can use manual distance entry instead. No camera images or video are ever saved or transmitted.
Progressive Web App (PWA)
MyEyeCheck can be installed as a PWA for offline use. When installed:
- App files are cached locally for offline access
- No additional data is collected
- Works without internet connection
