Home Vision Testing Made Simple

Visual Acuity Test

How It Works

1

Calibration

First, calibrate your screen size and viewing distance using a credit card and your device camera.

2

Test Your Vision

Read Sloan letters presented at different sizes. The test uses a 1-up/1-down staircase to find your visual acuity threshold.

3

Review Results

See your Snellen fraction (e.g., 20/20) and logMAR score. Results are saved locally for tracking trends over time.

Before You Start

  • Test one eye at a time by covering the other eye
  • Find a well-lit area with minimal glare on your screen
  • Have a credit card ready for screen calibration
  • Allow camera access for distance calibration (optional)
  • Wear your glasses or contacts if you normally use them

Note: This is a screening tool only. Results should not replace professional eye examinations. Consult an eye care professional for comprehensive evaluation.
